Experience The Last Dinner Party’s Stunning Cover of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Ride’ at Hammersmith Apollo

The Last Dinner Party delivered a powerful rendition of Lana Del Rey’s classic during their final Hammersmith Apollo show.

On October 19, during the closing night of their three-day residency, the band performed a captivating cover of ‘Ride,’ taken from 2012’s Born To Die – The Paradise Edition. Earlier in the night, they also offered an electrifying version of Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game.’

This performance comes after the group recently unveiled Prelude To Ecstasy: Acoustics and Covers, featuring their take on Sparks’ ‘This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us.’ On their UK tour, they’ve also added a unique twist by performing ‘Nothing Matters’ in Simlish.

In a recent interview with NME at the 2024 Mercury Prize, the band shared their dedication to fostering a strong sense of community among their fans. Bassist Georgia Davies highlighted how many fans, particularly those who felt isolated due to their sexuality or appearance, have found a welcoming space through their music.

In NME’s four-star review of their debut album, the publication noted: “Some might argue the band’s success is a response to the scrutiny around their rise, appearance, and artistic intentions.
