First Housemate Pair Evicted from BBNaija 2024 Revealed
The first eviction of BBNaija 2024 has officially taken place, with the announcement made during the first eviction show of the season.
In this season’s format, viewer voting determined the fate of the nominated housemates. Following Monday night’s immunity challenge, all 12 remaining pairs of housemates were placed up for possible eviction, leaving their continued stay in the house dependent on the viewers’ votes.
As the results were tallied, the pair with the fewest votes was set to be evicted during the live eviction show on Sunday. However, two pairs managed to secure immunity from eviction after winning the Custodian Challenge and the Immunity Challenge.
The Custodians were the first to earn immunity this season, making them safe from this week’s nominations. They also took part in the Custodian Lock-In, where they randomly selected a box or card containing a power that could influence nominations or evictions. This power was revealed during the live show on Sunday. Alongside them, Friends Beta (Tjay and Ben) also earned immunity by winning this week’s challenge, ensuring their safety from eviction.
For the other pairs, the bottom four votes were as follows:
- Cheekas: 5.12%
- Radicals: 4.81%
- Streeze: 4.58%
- Tami: 2.21%
Ultimately, the first pair of housemates to be evicted from Big Brother Naija season 9 was Damilola and Toyosi, as announced during the live eviction show on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
