Megan Thee Stallion Transforms Into a Japanese Viper in NSFW ‘Mamushi’ Video Featuring Yuki Chiba — Watch!

Megan Thee Stallion embraces her love for Japanese culture in her latest music video.

On Friday, Aug. 9, the Grammy-winning rap star, 29, unveiled the eagerly awaited visual for her viral hit “Mamushi” featuring Yuki Chiba. Despite a slight delay due to technical difficulties, Megan excitedly announced on social media, “Hotties we had technical difficulties but we live now!!! MAMUSHI VIDEO OUT EVERYWHERE🐍🐍🐍 HOTTIES RUN IT UP.”

Directed by Kevin “Onda” Leyva, the video was shot in Tokyo and features Megan’s collaborator, Chiba, along with Japanese actor Shô Kasamatsu (known for Tokyo Vice and Gannibal). The storyline, which begins in a spa, showcases Megan creating her own blue-faced army of gangsters who invade the spa.

The NSFW video opens with Kasamatsu as a spa patron who encounters a room full of beautiful Japanese women and an alluring Megan. She captivates him and ultimately transforms into a mamushi, a venomous Japanese viper, swallowing him whole—a nod to Megan’s ongoing snake motif.

As the video progresses, Megan, as the viper, preys on the gangsters at her spa. She sneaks up on them in the nude within a steamy pit, leading to their demise. Megan then teams up with Chiba, who prepares the deceased victims to join her army—a scene paying homage to Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film, Dreams.

The “Mamushi” video also showcases Megan’s viral choreography, which she introduced in late June and has since become a TikTok sensation. She performed this choreography during the final leg of her Hot Girl Summer tour, which began in Minneapolis on May 14, and even brought Chiba out for a special performance of the song during her tour’s final stop in London.

“We about to do something real cute for the last Hot Girl Summer arena tour show. We ain’t did this s— the whole tour,” Megan told the crowd, as shared by NME, before bringing out her rap collaborator.

Megan had been teasing the music video for days, sharing a snippet on social media at the start of August with the caption, “Its almost timeee⭐️⭐️⭐️🐍🐍🐍 #MAMUSHI.”

Since releasing her self-titled third album in June, Megan has been on an impressive run. After wrapping up her summer tour, she headlined the Broccoli City Festival on July 27 and Lollapalooza on Aug. 1. She later celebrated her tour success with an Instagram recap video, captioned, “Thee #HotGirlSummerTour was EVERYTHINGGG ☀️🔥👙 I LOVE YOU HOTTIES 🥹🥹🥹 I’m definitely gonna have to run this tour back again !!!”
