A new eviction system has been introduced for the 2024 season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) as the first week of the reality TV series comes to a close.
In an official announcement made during the live eviction show on Sunday, August 4, 2024, it was confirmed that Big Brother Naija Season 9 will feature a new method for evicting housemates.
After the immunity challenge held on Monday night, all 12 remaining pairs of housemates were put up for possible eviction. Their fate now rests in the hands of viewers, who have voted for their favourite nominated housemates.
The pair receiving the fewest votes will be evicted during the live eviction show on Sunday, marking the end of week one.
How Will Eviction Work in BBNaija 2024?
The new eviction system reveals that the four partnerships with the lowest votes will be put up for eviction. However, the twist lies in the next step: the pairs who have made it to the safe zone, free from possible eviction, will then vote for the housemate they believe should be evicted from the show.
