Rebecca Fox, a devoted Taylor Swift fan, has gone to great lengths to ensure a memorable experience for Swifties attending the sold-out Eras Tour stop in New Orleans.

Fox secured 191 hotel rooms for fans, planning several events around the concert, known as “Holiday House,” happening from October 24 to October 28.

Inspired by her love for Taylor Swift and her own concert experiences, Fox aims to create an immersive weekend for fans traveling to see the star.

“I fought hard for each room and person, doing all this at cost,” Fox shares. She took on the challenge of securing affordable accommodations for fellow fans, reserving a block of 191 hotel rooms at a Holiday Inn in New Orleans ahead of the highly anticipated Eras Tour. Thousands are expected to attend the event, and Fox’s initiative aims to make their stay more affordable.

Her plan began after attending her first Eras Tour show, where she faced steep travel expenses. Determined to make it easier for others, Fox began reserving rooms for Swift fans and organizing a convention, “Holiday House,” inspired by Swift’s “the last great American dynasty.” The community response grew quickly, drawing hundreds of Swifties eager to join the event.

Why Rebecca Fox Created the Event

Fox, a long-time fan of Taylor Swift, has been attending concerts for years. “I’ve loved Taylor since the start,” she says. The moment Swift announced the Eras Tour, Fox knew she had to attend. She secured tickets for the tour’s opening night but faced high costs for flights and accommodations. In her first attempt, she saved money by taking a train to Los Angeles and renting a car to Phoenix, spending less than 24 hours there. However, she missed out on the full fan experience, unable to trade bracelets or meet other Swifties. That experience inspired her to create an event that allowed fans to come together and share their love for Taylor.

“I could have stayed home,” says Fox, who lives in New Orleans, “But I wanted an immersive experience. I wanted to enjoy every moment while she’s here for three days.”

Booking 191 Hotel Rooms for Swifties

Before Swift confirmed the second leg of the North American tour, Fox suspected New Orleans would be a stop. She contacted the Superdome and, sensing something was being kept secret, began reserving hotel rooms in preparation. Initially, Fox booked 20 rooms at the Hyatt Regency, near the stadium, but demand quickly surged. When the hotel couldn’t accommodate more rooms, Fox moved the reservations to the Holiday Inn.

“I worked hard to get every single room,” Fox explains. She booked the rooms at cost, charging attendees face value with only a small $25 deposit, which she plans to refund after the event. Fox’s goal is to help fans save on lodging, knowing many spend thousands of dollars traveling to Swift’s concerts, which have boosted the U.S. economy and led to ticket resale scams.

A Taylor Swift-Themed Weekend

Fox’s “Holiday House” weekend is filled with Taylor Swift and New Orleans-inspired activities from October 24 to October 28. Fans will enjoy various events such as bracelet-making sessions, scavenger hunts, and more, all designed to bring Swifties together. Tickets for these activities are available on her Friendship Bracelet Project website.

“Before this, I knew only one Swiftie in New Orleans,” says Fox. “Now, I have around 40 close friends here and thousands across the globe.”
