50 Cent Defends Speaking Out on Diddy’s Parties Over the Past Decade

For the past 10 years, 50 Cent has stood by his decision to speak out against Diddy and his infamous parties.
Recently, the disgraced rapper was arrested in New York and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting for prostitution. Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges.
After offering a $50 million (£38.4m) bond, Diddy was denied bail and placed on suicide watch as he awaits trial. His legal team has since appealed the bail denial, and his trial is set for May 5, 2025.
50 Cent, the ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ rapper, has opened up about why he continued to mock Diddy’s lifestyle at his performances and across social media, even before the recent legal troubles.
“I know it might look like I’m doing wild things, but I’m not. I’ve been saying the same stuff for a decade,” said 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, in an exclusive interview with People.
He continued, “Now, with the Puffy news coming out, it seems bigger. But for me, it’s always been, ‘I stayed away from that scene because it’s just not my thing.’ ”
The ‘Candy Shop’ rapper has never been shy about sharing his thoughts on the accusations against Diddy. Earlier this year, he criticized the mogul’s apology video, which followed the release of footage showing Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie.
Jackson also revealed that he’s working on a documentary covering the sexual assault allegations against Diddy. The documentary, titled Diddy Do It?, was first announced in December after the allegations surfaced.
Last month, Variety reported that Netflix had acquired the rights to the series and expanded it to cover the latest developments in the Diddy case.
The documentary, produced by 50 Cent and directed by Alexandria Stapleton, is set to explore the broader context of the allegations. In a statement, Jackson and Stapleton explained, “This story is about more than just headlines. It spans decades and impacts many lives.”
They added, “We are committed to giving a voice to those who haven’t been heard and delivering a truthful narrative. While these allegations are disturbing, we want people to remember that Sean Combs’ actions are not the whole story of hip-hop. The culture itself has made contributions far beyond the actions of one person.”
In related news, Diddy was recently accused of raping a woman in retaliation for her claim that he was involved in Tupac Shakur’s murder.
Tupac’s brother, Maurice Mopreme Shakur, also stated that Diddy has not been truthful about his involvement in the rapper’s 1996 murder.
Currently, Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. His next court appearance is set for December 18. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, according to Rolling Stone.
Additionally, reports suggest that Diddy has avoided eating in prison due to fears of being poisoned. His bail denial means he will remain behind bars until the trial begins.
This month, it was revealed that Diddy is potentially facing new lawsuits from over 120 individuals, including 25 minors, who accuse him of sexual abuse and assault.
